Assurex Health Appoints Public Accounting Veteran Brian Carley to Its Board of Directors

Mason, OH – July 14, 2015 — Assurex Health today announced that Brian Carley has been appointed to its Board of Directors. Carley was formerly the President and CEO of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, and had a remarkable 37 year accounting, audit and consulting career as a partner at Deloitte and at Arthur Andersen.

Carley will chair the audit committee of the board. In his role at Deloitte, Brian led the Northern Ohio audit practice, and was the lead audit partner on large public companies as well as a number of growing, privately held firms, including those who later became publicly traded. At Arthur Andersen, he served as the Cincinnati market managing partner.

“Brian brings essential expertise, perspective and relationships to our Board as we seek to grow and develop new markets,” said James S. Burns, chairman. “We welcome him and his entrepreneurial spirit to the Assurex Health team.”

“It is the perfect next step from the Cincinnati USA Chamber to becoming part of a true healthcare industry success story,” said Carley. “I am honored to be invited, and I am committed to the same goal as the company – broadening use of our proprietary technology to help more people get on the road to mental wellness.”

Committed to Business Development and Giving Back

Carley has a long history of economic development and community service. He has been active with the Cincinnati Business Committee, Cincinnati Regional Business Committee, and served on the boards of CincyTech, Commonwealth Club, REDI Cincinnati, 3CDC, the Cincinnati Zoo, Cincinnati Opera, Cincinnati Museum Center, Mt. St. Joseph University and the advisory council to Miami University’s Farmer School of Business, among others.
