The Process

1 – Receive Sample
When your sample is received, we’ll confirm your out-of-pocket cost. If it’s over $330, we’ll call you before processing your test.

2 – Bill Insurance
After your test is processed, we’ll submit your claim to your insurance company.

3 – Apply for FAP
If eligible, we will send you an application to see if you qualify for financial assistance.

4 – Receive EOB
Your health insurance company will process our claim and then send you an EOB (Explanation of Benefits) within 30-45 days. The EOB is not a bill, but a detailed explanation of the amount your insurance has covered for the GeneSight test(s).

5- Your Bill
Once your claim is complete, we will send you a statement of what you owe, which can be paid online, by phone or via mail. Insurance processing takes time and it will likely be several months before you receive this bill from us. We will keep you in the loop along the way.
