Today’s challenge: set a micro goal. When we’re feeling well, we tend to get lofty with our goals, and it can feel disappointing when, for one reason or another, we can’t achieve them.
Today, your challenge is to take one of those goals and break it down into the tiniest of pieces– so small that you are virtually guaranteed to succeed.
For example, instead of cleaning the whole house and organizing every closet, today just take out the trash. Instead of shooting for Inbox zero by 5pm, today just answer any time-sensitive messages .
If that still feels too big, go even smaller. Setting and accomplishing micro goals is not only a confidence builder, it’s a momentum builder too, because every single task or goal– even small ones– can be broken down into tinier, doable bite-sized actions. String those altogether and your small, consistent efforts will eventually accomplish something much bigger.
