GENESIGHT PRESENTS

Brighter Days

Challenges between May 1st and July 31st

Today’s challenge: Get a hug, and give one too. Wrapping your arms around another human (or animal) releases oxytocin, sometimes called the cuddle hormone, which creates a sense of calm and relaxation, and lowers heart rate and stress.

More reasons to embrace the embrace: hugging also releases serotonin, a neurotransmitter known as one of the feel good hormones that helps us feel happy and confident. (Yes, please!)

Want some bonus points? Give yourself a hug too.  Totally counts.

Mission Accomplished!
