GeneSight® Cost
What to Know About the Cost of a GeneSight Test
The GeneSight test is a benefit for millions of U.S. patients with insurance coverage. These plans vary and we recognize knowing what you may owe is important. That’s why we have the GeneSight Promise.
The GeneSight Promise
Insurance can be complicated, and we want you to feel comfortable knowing what you’ll owe. We promise that if your cost could be more than $330, we’ll call you before we process your test.
Insurance Coverage of the GeneSight Test
If you have insurance, we bill your insurance for the cost of the GeneSight test. Some insurance plans will cover the cost though this can vary:
Medicare (Part B) Covered Tests — You will have a $0 out of pocket cost.
Medicare Advantage Covered Tests — You may be expected to cover a portion of the cost (typically $330 or less) and the GeneSight Promise applies.
Medicaid — Typically, you will have a $0 out of pocket cost.
Commercial or Other Insurance — Plans vary, but you may be expected to cover a portion of the cost (typically $330 or less) and the GeneSight Promise applies.

Our Billing Process
We Receive Your Sample
When we receive your sample, we review your insurance benefits to estimate your out-of-pocket cost. If it could be more than $330, we will call you before processing the test to discuss your options, including canceling the test at no cost to you.
Insurance and Cost
If insured, we bill your insurance after processing your test. Your health insurance company will process our claim, then send you an EOB within 30-45 days. This is not a bill that you pay. The EOB or Explanation of Benefits is a detailed explanation of the amount your insurance has covered for the GeneSight test(s). Most EOBs require no action.
If uninsured, use our Financial Assistance Program Calculator to learn whether you qualify for financial assistance.
Billing
Once your claim is complete, you will receive a statement of what you owe, which will be sent via U.S. Mail from Myriad Genetics. You can either pay in our online portal or process with our billing team at 888-496-2391.
If insured, insurance processing takes time and it will likely be several months before you receive this bill from us. We will keep you in the loop along the way. Once you know what you’ll owe, you may also qualify for financial assistance to what your insurance does not cover and we offer an interest-free payment plan.
If uninsured, apply for financial assistance or enroll in an interest-free payment plan once you receive your GeneSight statement by contacting us at 888.496.2391 or billing@assurexhealth.com.
