Mark is president of Myriad Neuroscience.

Mark leads the Myriad Neuroscience team in its quest to improve patients’ lives through advanced genetic science.

Named president in 2018, Mark was previously senior vice president, chief sales and business development officer for the company. Prior to joining Myriad, Mark held leadership roles for nearly two decades in the healthcare diagnostics and device industries with Forest Laboratories and Cyberonics.

Mark earned a B.S. in life sciences with a minor in physiology from The Pennsylvania State University.

Mark leads Myriad Neuroscience’s work to make the GeneSight test standard-of-care in clinical practice.

Mark is a board-certified psychiatrist with four decades’ experience in clinical psychiatry and neuroscience. He served as chair of the Department of Psychiatry at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago and as a professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. He was director of the Center for Anxiety and Traumatic Stress Disorders at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Mark is past president of the Anxiety and Depression Association of America and chaired its Scientific Advisory Board. He is recognized worldwide as an expert on mental illness, lectures widely in international forums and has served on numerous editorial, federal and industry advisory boards. He has published more than 400 articles and chapters, and five books.

Mark received his M.D. from New Jersey Medical School and a B.A. from the University of Virginia. He completed his residency and fellowship training at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School.

Kavita directs planning, development, quality assurance and standards compliance for Myriad Neuroscience’s certified genetics laboratory.

Kavita has published in many peer-reviewed journals, with some of her work being highlighted in the Journal of Biochemistry and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. She previously served as vice president of Laboratory Operations at AKESOgen and in a leadership role overseeing laboratory operations and test reporting at MNG Laboratories.

Kavita earned her Ph.D. degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Georgia State University, Atlanta, M.S. in Microbiology from University of Mumbai-India, M.S. in Molecular Genetics and Biochemistry and her B.S. degree in Microbiology from University of Mumbai-India. She held a post-doctoral fellowship in neurodegenerative diseases at Emory University in the Department of Human Genetics.
